![]() This update is an exciting time to be a pet tamer.Skyfortress is a new open field map for players above level 200. From Knights to Assassins, this trio of additions will not disappoint. With the wolf, harpy and gnoll, Epic VI: Navislamia has new pets for a variety of play styles. Its rarity is well earned - this pet makes no compromises. When you're looking for the best in damage mitigation and tanking ability, accept no substitutes. In addition to these abilities, the gnoll can unleash its ultimate attack, Surging Storm, which deals damage to all nearby enemies and reduces foes' accuracy. It is a powerful tool for gaining threat and dealing additional damage. It can cast this ability on itself or others, causing a percentage of any damage the recipient takes to be reflected to the offending enemy. The other unique ability the gnoll has is its powerful Reflecting Shield, which reflects incoming damage. In particular, those such as the Druid or Battle Summoner may want the security that such a companion can provide. The most obvious synergy is with the Knight, which specializes in shields, but any class that could use a pet to tank for it can benefit. The first is its Unity, a powerful buff that increases three stats at once, block rate, block defense, and physical attack power. The gnoll has two aspects that are unique among pets. Wielding a mighty shield, it protects its owner with feral intensity. In the realm of defense, it has no equal, but it's no slouch when it comes to dealing damage, either. Gnoll The gnoll pet is a rare pet, joining the elite ranks of the Angel and Kentauros. The discerning hunter will definitely want to acquire one of these beauties. ![]() Players have been asking for a ranged physical damage dealing pet for a long time, and the harpy delivers that and more. Its ultimate ability, Blood Rain, will deal massive damage and inflict a severe physical attack and defense penalty on multiple foes at once. It has two skills that can help you control the battlefield as well, the snaring Crippling Shot and the stunning Paralyzing Shot. The harpy's Unity increases physical attack speed, which will increase damage output tremendously for many physical attackers, such as Asura warriors and all Gaia classes. Archers and Shadow Hunters are a natural fit for the Harpy, as they can take the greatest advantage of its range, but anyone looking to add some finesse to their offensive abilities will find a lot to love in this companion. Like the latter, it is focused on dealing immense damage, but is dissimilar in that it offers the versatility of long range. Harpy The harpy is an uncommon pet, similar to the Hawkman and Salamander. This loyal companion is a great option for its rarity. Plus, with its Lunging Bite ability, the wolf can charge into battle, and both gain threat and land debuffs before its owner is in any danger whatsoever. Beyond that, it has special attacks like Gouging Bite and Rampage that can reduce its opponents' accuracy. Its Evasion Unity allows it to share this quality with its owner, making it a solid option for a tanking class such as a Knight or Soldier. Its evasion abilities make it a great tank early on, and its damage dealing capabilities are greater than those of others used for this role, such as the tortus or yeti. While its abilities are specialized for use with a solo damage dealer or a tank, a wolf can be useful to anyone at low levels. Characters of any level can find themselves in possession of a Wolf Card, and attempt to tame one. ![]() Unlike other pets though, it is a natural inhabitant of Trainee Island. It shares its degree of rarity with the Siren, Red Pixie, Blue Pixie, Skeleton, Orc and Yeti. This update is an exciting time to be a pet tamer. The Gnoll is the ultimate tanking pet, built to withstand immense pain and dish it out as well. The deadly Harpy is the consummate hunter and long-range damage dealer. The agile Wolf is the perfect complement to evasive damage dealing classes as well as tanks of all types. ![]() Epic VI Pets Epic VI: Navislamia introduces three exciting new pets to the world of Rappelz.
